Back before we closed our doors, we were considering a four-story project from C.L. Phillips. We were in the process of getting the contract in order when the decision was made to shut down.
Late this summer, we decided to open again in a limited capacity and publish a limited edition specialty anthology in partnership with the Society for the Ethical Treatment of the Kraken and their annual Ladies’ Bazaar and Steampunk Tea. Shortly after the announcement was made, C.L. Phillips contacted us regarding his short story collection.
We sent a few emails back and forth exploring distribution, schedules, and the fact that four stories had become nine. We looked over the new additions and found them just as impressive as the first four. After much back and forth, we agreed to release his collection.
So, here’s the official announcement. Figures in the Forest and Other Stories by C.L. Phillips will be released in print and e-book formats in spring of 2020 by Schreyer Ink Publishing. We will be releasing further details, like descriptions of the stories and the cover reveal, over the next few months. Supporters on Casia’s Patreon page will get a first look at the cover as soon as it’s complete as well as previews of all nine stories.
We’re looking forward to sharing these nine delightfully scary stories with you in the coming months.
